The Untere Havel Continued

Werder - Paretz - Sacrow-Paretz Kanal - Wublitz - Werder

about 22 km

Continuing the exploration of the Untere Havel, I set out from Werder all the way to Paretz via Großer Zernsee, Kleiner Zernsee, Potsdamer Havel.

Just leaving Werder. Windmill.

Three hours later I had a short break at the picnic site on the North shore near Paretz just where the Sacrow-Partez Kanal begins (near km 33). The canal leads all the way to the Havel again further upstream via Fahrlander See, Jungfernsee not far from the Heilandskirche in Sacrow.

I did not go as far but turned South after about 4 km, crossing the Schlänitzsee to then pass into a motorboat-free zone, the Wublitz. The last stretch was back across the Großer Zernsee to where I had departed from (end of Luisenstraße next to the car-park is a public spot)

Weather conditions were good, hardly any wind.

Shetlanders might like the name of the boat as well as keen readers ;-).

Beneath the A10.

Comorant on a pole in the distance.
